I'm off again today to help with the disaster that hit the Valparaiso cerros last weekend. It's surreal and heart wrenchingly sad. Some houses are still half there, some the walls are just left, and further up, there's absolutely nothing. The houses really far up weren't built from proper materials and some families weren't living there legally so they don't have the papers to stay in the shelters.
I've never been so tired and dirty in my life. Illustrating is on hold for the next couple of weeks.
At about 7pm we went to the main donation centre and help load up the trucks with the donations or food, clothes and toiletries.
It's really amazing how many people are helping.
